Don McKay, movie review

Stars Thomas Haden Church (Sideways) and Elisabeth Shue (still hot), ‘Don’ (2009) is a movie about the past, deception, and of course murder. I give it 2 out of 5 stars. The writing was fine, the acting above average, the directing, below average, the soundtrack, out-of-place and silly. Either the director decided to turn a serious story into a comedy, or a comedy into a serious story, it attempts to be both, and fails to be either. Keith David makes an appearance, that was fun. M. Emmet Walsh makes a few short appearances, those were fine. A woman named Melissa Leo plays a spinster well. I don’t know what else to say…if your bored, rent it…or not.

* interesting side note, Don seems to be an apt user of logic, but he never follows through with it until the very end scene in the movie…where the seventy-six logical fallacies are unwound by his very awoken mind.
