Manchurian Russians

One young lady   http://www.theatlanticwire.com/opinions/view/opinion/What-Threat-Did-11-Russian-Spies-Pose-4154  who somewhat knew one of the Russian ladies arrested for being part of a large Russian spy-ring, mentioned how the ‘she could not have been a spy, she was too good with flowers’, esp. Hydrangea. This reminded me of the following scene from the original Manchurian Candidate, a movie that was initially banned in the USA. Watch this… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBDhoUZgsDo  This was a great Birthday present for me..as I loved the movie and find it very interesting that it would be alluded to when deep cover spies have their cover blown. Was this intentional? Perhaps, often first interviewees on the scene are planted for CI (counter-intell) purposes.
